Dodi Tal is situated at an elevation of 3024 mts.(10,000 ft.) North of Uttarkashian is surrounded by dense woods of Oak, Deodar, Pine and Rhododendrons.

Dodi Tal is one of the most beautiful lakes in Uttarakhand & is a very popular trek since British period (1903). The circumference of the lake is about 3.0kms. Fishing is permitted here with permit. The crystal clear lake is full of rare fishes the Himalayan Golden Trout introduced here by Britisher-Wilson.

The trek Dodi Tal commences from Uttarkashi to Sangam Chatti and is approachable by motor uptoSangamChatti. From SangamChatti to AgodaVillage is a gradual climb through woods, fields and villages on a mule trek. The trek from Agoda to Dodi Tal is a mix of steep & gradual climb through thick beautiful forests.

Assi ganga rises from dodital and joins bhagirathi. The confluence is at Gangori. To reach Dodital, From Uttarkashi, a short jeep ride of kilometers will take you to Sangamchatti from where the 24 km trek to Dodital begins. This is a mostly gentle trek, with overnight halt options at the village of Agora or Bebra. At Agora, which is 6 km from Sangamchatti, one can stay at one of the private lodges or alternatively, camp at Bebra which is 8 km from Sangamchatti. From there one can start the second leg of the trek the next day which will take you to Dodital via the small summer settlement of Manjhi.

According to one of the popular legends Lord Ganesha chose this place as his abode. There is a temple devoted to Lord Ganesha here. Another name for this lake is ‘Dhundital’ meaning Ganesh ka tal or lake of Ganesha.

From Dodital the visitors can trek further up to Darwa Top and can cross the pass to descend towards Hanumanchatti in the Yamuna valley or turn towards Chaka Gujjer hut area to cross the Bingad and explore the Bamsaru tal, Gidara and Dayara Bugyals.

DAY 01: DEHRADUN - RISHIKESH ( 25 KMS /01 HR)

On Arrive at Dehradun Airport, Meet our representative & drive to Rishikesh, Check In at Hotel

Rishikesh one of the holiest cities in India, Rishikesh is not just known for its religious connection but also for its beautiful landscape. Surrounded by hills (the Lesser Himalayas) on three sides and holy Ganga River flowing through it, Rishikesh is an ethereal experience. Rishikesh is the gateway to famous Chardham which are Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. In fact Rishikesh is a favourite of those coming to meditate and seek salvation. It is believed that meditation on the land of this holy place leads to salvation. Every year many people come here in the ashrams to meditate and gain peace of mind. The place is also very famous with foreigners who come to India in search of spiritual quest. Rishikesh is famous for its ashrams on the banks of Ganga, at many such ashrams yoga is practiced and taught regularly.

Later proceed for city tour like Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula & Parmarth Ashram.

DAY 02: RISHIKESH-UTTARKASHI (170 Kms/07-hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Agoda Village, Uttatkashi, Evening tea with snacks, dinner.

DAY 03: AGODA-MANJHI (11 KMS TREK)

Morning after breakfast, Start trek to Manjhi which is 11 kms with packed lunch on route, evening tea with snacks, dinner and night stay at camp.

DAY 04: MANJHI – DODITAL(05 KMS TREK)

Morning after breakfast 05 kms. trek to Dodital, packed lunch on route, evening tea with snacks, dinner and night stay at camp.

Day 05: DODITAL – AGODA / BEWARA (14 KMS TREK)

Morning after breakfast 14 kms. trek to Agoda village, packed lunch on route, evening enjoy with tea, dinner & night stay at camp.

Day 06: AGODA/ BEWARA – RISHIKESH/ HARIDWAR (5.5 KMS TREK & 200 KMS. DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast 5.5 kms. trek down to Sangamchatti, then 200 kms. drive to Haridwar Railway Station for board your overnight flight.
